US President Barack Obama’s decisions against Bush’s “war on terror” policies would cause another 9/11, says former vice president Dick Cheney.

“President Obama campaigned against it all across the country,” Cheney told CNN on Sunday.

“And now he is making some choices that in my mind will, in fact, raise the risk to the American people of another attack,” he added.

When asked if he believes Obama has made the nation less safe through his reversal of certain Bush administration anti-terror policies, Cheney said, “I do.”

Meanwhile, Cheney criticized the new administration’s decision for shutting down the Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, closing CIA “Black Sites” abroad, and defining waterboarding as torture.

“I think those programs were absolutely essential to the success we enjoyed of being able to collect the intelligence that let us defeat all further attempts to launch attacks against the United States since 9/11,” Cheney said.

“I think that’s a great success story. It was done legally. It was done in accordance with our constitutional practices and principles,” he noted.

Former US president George W. Bush invaded mineral-rich Afghanistan and oil-rich Iraq after September, 11 attacks in the United States in 2001 to allegedly destroy Al Qaeda and Taliban. Hundreds of thousands of civilian lives have been lost in the military adventures.

The former vice President also brought some reasons for his claims against the young administration of Obama.

“When you go back to the law enforcement mode, which is what I sense is what they’re doing they’re very much giving up that center of attention and focus … that’s essential if you’re going to successfully defend the nation against further attacks,” Cheney said.

When the new administration would make their move against us as gun owners. Oh, everyone got upset about HR45–I’ll bet I got over 100 e-mails warning me about this draconian gun registration bill that had been introduced in Congress.

Now it has come clear…now we know what they intend to do.

It is an end-run around Congress. They don’t need to try to ban guns–they don’t need to fight a massive battle to attempt gun registration, or limit &quotassault&quot weapon sales.

Nope. All they have to do is limit the amount of ammunition available to the civilian market, and when bullets dry up, guns will be useless.

Got that? From now on, remanufacturers of military brass will not be able to buy surplus brass from DOD–actually from Government Liquidators, llc.–the corporation that sells surplus materials for the U.S. government. At least, not in any form recognizable as once-fired brass ammunition.

Now all brass ammunition will have to be shredded, and sold as scrap.

Georgia Arms, who brought this to our attention, is the 5th largest ammunition manufacturer of centerfire pistol and rifle ammunition in the U.S.

&quotWe’re right up there behind Hornady,&quot Larry Haynie told me.

He also told me with the cancellation of his contract to purchase this brass, and the ending of his ability to purchase any more expended military ammunition, he will have to severely curtail his operation–laying off approximately half his 60-person work force.

Haynie further pointed out this move is a stupendous waste of taxpayer money–reducing the worth of the brass some 80%–from casings, to shredded bulk brass.

He stated most of this will now go to foundries where it will be melted down, cast in shippable forms, and likely be sold to China, one of the largest purchasers of U.S. metals on the open market.

Haynie was manufacturing over 1 million rounds of .223 ammunition every month, which he sold on the civilian market to resellers, and to law enforcement agencies across the country.

He will start tomorrow sending cancellations of orders for .223 to law enforcement agencies all over the country.

You can expect this to affect every bullet you purchase in the future–with no reloaded ammunition available, the already strained new manufacturers will be unable to meet demand. They are already turning out everything they can build for the military market. The civilian market is stressed to the point even reloading components have become hard to find.

Now, with this hit, ammunition prices will go through the roof in the next year.

Your quality piece, sitting in your gun rack, will become a very expensive wood and steel, or plastic and steel club.

Dear Congressman Cassidy:

It has come to my attention that the Department of Defense has issued a directive that all expended military brass (fired cases) will now be shredded and sold for scrap material, rather than resold by Government Liquidators LLC to the civilian market for remanufacture.

You may not be aware of it, but there is a severe shortage of ammunition available for sale to the public across the country, causing problems for shooters, hunters, and reloaders everywhere.

Now, apparently the Obama administration, realizing they cannot move against private firearms ownership since the landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in the Washington D.C./Heller case, has made their move in another way.

By cutting off the resale of expended military ammunition to remanufacturers, they have put a stranglehold on the nation’s ammunition supply.

Further, they have reduced the return to the government on expended brass by 80%. What was sold for remanufacturer at a fair return to the government, will now cost the taxpayers untold sums of money as the cost of scrap brass is far below the price per pound for expended military ammunition.

In addition, the use of remanufactured ammunition is a huge asset to law enforcement agencies across the country who buy millions of rounds of reloaded ammunition a year from these manufacturers for practice rounds.

With this market gone, law enforcement will no longer be able to purchase inexpensive reloaded ammunition, and with the continuing combat status of military forces across the Middle East, original manufacturers of new ammunition are turning out everything they can make to the government, thus exacerbating the shortage of new ammunition in both the civilian and law enforcement market.

Lastly, in these harsh economic times, does it not strike you as cold and calculating that the Obama administration has no compunction against ruining an industry that employs thousands of American citizens in the remanufacturing of sporting and military ammunition. One major resupplier, Georgia Arms, the fifth largest manufacturer of centerfire pistol and rifle ammunition has informed me he will have to quickly lay off half his 60-person workforce, as he has had to cancel contracts with dozens of police agencies who had contracted with him to supply them with remanufactured .223 ammunition.

Georgia Arms has been practically put out of business by this directive that all expended military brass must be shredded. His current contracts have been canceled, and he is notifying his customers across the country he can no longer supply their ammunition needs.

Please look into this immediately. This move by the Obama administration is nothing but a back-door strike against firearms ownership in this country–if shooters can’t buy ammunition, the guns are little better than steel clubs–and this is obviously the intent.

The governor of Utah has two problems with a State Senate proposal to scan the IDs of everyone who visits a bar in the state and make that database available to law enforcement officials.

For starters, it is an “Orwellian” breach of privacy, he said. And second, it makes his state look kooky.

“I think that would enhance the oddness of our laws,” Gov. Jon Huntsman told The Associated Press. “I think that for most people that is a rather frightening, almost Orwellian, proposition.”

Utah already has the strictest alcohol laws in the country, requiring tipplers to become members of any bar they patronize by paying a small fee and filling out a brief application. Bars in Utah are open to the public, but they’re still classified as private clubs and only members and sponsored guests may enter.

Court documents filed Friday reveal that Obama’s lawyers are arguing that Ex-Guantanamo detainees have no constitutional rights.

The Center for Constitutional Rights(CCR), a non-profit legal advocacy group, is supporting four British citizens - Shafiq Rasul, Asif Iqbal, Rhuhel Ahmed and Jamal al Harith – in their suit alleging religious mistreatment and torture at Guantanamo Bay. Defendants in the case include Donald Rumsfeld and Gen. Richard Myers, the retired chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The four men say that they were “beaten, shackled in painful stress positions, threatened by dogs and subjected to extreme medical care,” according to the Miami Herald. In addition, they reported being forced to shave their beards, being banned from prayer, being denied prayer mats, and watching a copy of the Koran get tossed in the toilet.

Last year, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal in D.C. voted unanimously against the 4 ex-detainees. The Appeals Court claimed that the men did not fit the definition of ‘person’ in the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, because they were foreigners being held outside the United States. Months later, the Supreme Court instructed the Appeals Court to reconsider their decision, based on a Supreme Court ruling that Guantanamo detainees have some rights under the constitution. On Friday, the CCR re-filed their brief in the D.C. Court of Appeal.

Obama’s justice department is using an old strategy employed by the Bush administration. Their primary argument is that Ex-Guantanamo detainees don’t have any constitutional rights. Even if they did, the brief continues, Rumsfeld and other officers should be immune from prosecution because detainees’ right not to be tortured and to practice their religion without abuse was “not clearly established” at the time of their detention. The Obama administration supports the earlier decision by the Appeals Court that the ex-detainees do not have constitutional person-hood. The case should be dismissed because of special factors “involving national security and foreign policy,” the government’s brief concludes.

However, “it has long been established that there is an irreducible constitutional minimum that government officials owe to human beings under their control – whether citizen or alien – that necessarily includes the prohibition of torture,” the plaintiff’s brief contends. CCR is disappointed the new administration “squandered this opportunity to separate themselves from the policies of the past and to speak with moral force about torture and religious freedom,” said Michael Ratner, president of the organization.

Obama has decided to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility by 2010. On the same day as the ex-detainee’s brief was filed, the White House dropped the term ‘enemy combatant’ from legal documents. The assertion that ex-detainees have no constitutional rights is a problem for non-citizens being detained outside of U.S. borders, who worry that this case will set precedent and enable the military to legally disobey the constitution.

A member of the Missouri Militia has contacted us to express his outrage that the organization, which routinely works with local law enforcement to help find missing children, sponsors blood donation campaigns and soup kitchens, is being smeared as a terrorist outfit by the federal government.

As we reported last week, a secret report distributed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center lists militias, Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who display bumper stickers, people who own gold, or even people who fly a U.S. flag and equates them with radical race hate groups and terrorists.

The document features a photograph of members of the Missouri militia next to a list of terrorist plots, including the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and the Atlanta Olympic Park attack.

A member of the Missouri Militia who is featured in the photograph has written to us expressing his outrage that such a highly regarded organization, which devotes most of its time to projects which better the local community, has been villified in such a slapdash and erroneous way by the feds.

“In regard to the boys pictured in the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) entitled “The Modern Militia Movement”. I know most of the guys pictured in the article,” he writes.

All are hard working men whose wife’s support everything they do. Not one is a radical or a white supremacist. There are no anti-Semites. In fact some of the members have been Jewish and African-American. The leaders of this organization are in contact with the local sheriffs office every-time there is a get together that involves discharging weapons. The local sheriff knows who they are and where they live.

There is no talk of revolution or using any force against law enforcement. Indeed, just the opposite. They have volunteered for food kitchens and search and rescue. They are a transparent organization that only seeks to exercise their constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

I know these guys, because I have trained with them….Most of these guys have wives and children and there only crime is preparing for the worst, yet hoping for the best. Most of these boys don’t even believe 911 was an inside job. They are patriots and good fathers in every sense of the word. They come from all walks of life and there is not an ounce of racism among all of them combined. Some are college educated white collars and some are blue collars, but all are as normal and patriotic as they come.

Indeed, a cursory examination of the Missouri Militia’s website reveals that the group is routinely involved in projects such as helping local authorities search for missing children, blood donation campaigns, and feeding the homeless in soup kitchens. The organization has supported campaigns such as Harvesters, Habitat for Humanity, and Project Warmth.

The website even features a 9/11 tribute and expresses the organization’s vehement opposition to the perpurtrators of the terrorist attack. Part of the role of the group is also outlined as “defense of the state from terrorism or invasion”.

For the feds to demonize such a group and smear them as potential terrorists is beyond belief. It’s almost akin to labeling a group like the Salvation Army an Al-Qaeda offshoot.

This is not only a damning indictment in terms of how the federal government views U.S. citizens, but also a staggering insult to the very notion that there is a “war on terror” at all. If there really were Al-Qaeda suicide bomber cells plotting to attack America, as we are constantly told, then the feds are telling your local police departments to ignore them and instead target stand-up Americans who like to do charity work, feed the homeless and give blood.

Even if one dismisses the notion that these documents are being released as part of a deliberate attempt to smear informed Americans as dangerous political enemies of the state, what we are left with is almost equally as disturbing, which is the fact that the people supposedly leading the “war on terror” on the home front have the same level of detective and criminology skills as Barney the Purple Dinosaur.

In releasing this training document, the Missouri Information Analysis Center is putting the U.S. in greater danger of a terrorist attack and ensuring that any real terrorists would evade detection, while law enforcement are being trained that the most patriotic Americans imaginable are their mortal enemies.

On March 4, 2009, Michael “Savage” Weiner claimed to expose the dictatorial machinations of the Obama administration on his nationally syndicated radio show. “Right now what we have is a dictatorship run by a gang,” Weiner declared. “It’s a gang under Obama.”

In the eight minute audio clip here, Weiner provides us with a rambling dissertation on Obama, presumed gang leader Rahm Emanuel, and the Democrats, allegedly a group of devious people Weiner has previously described as Nazis or Nazi-like.

Indeed, the Obama movement demonstrates classic fascist tendencies, although these are not Nazi or Nazi-like, as Weiner has claimed. It is difficult to believe the highly intelligent Weiner is incapable of telling the difference.

Weiner’s repeated references to the Nazis are designed to conjure up imagery deeply embedded in our cultural landscape and place it within a contrived and polarized false right-left context. It is no mistake Weiner attributes Nazism to the so-called left side of this paradigm while essentially ignoring the fascistic attributes apparent on the other side of the political spectrum (in order to balance this, he claims to have staunchly opposed the Bush administration, although this opposition was primarily in regard to the contrived “war on terror” and Weiner’s incessant claim the neocons did not go far enough in their effort to confront a non-existent “Islamofascism,” that is to say kill large numbers of Muslims and Arabs).

In fact, there is little difference between (for lack of better terminology) the neocon and neolib factions, although the political establishment and the corporate media have a vested interest in magnifying minor differences and turning these into major ideological divisions (e.g., the partisan politics between Republicans and Democrats concentrating primarily on social issues that do not threaten the larger political arrangement concocted by the ruling elite).

At 28 seconds into the audio here, Michael Weiner predicts a “Reichstag fire-like event” in the United States “that will have been conducted by the government and blamed upon subversive elements in order to permit a naked dictatorship to emerge in this country.”

For Weiner, this event is now possible under the rule of Democrats and the putative Obama Nazis, never mind over the last eight years the Bush administration set the stage for a “Reichstag fire-like event” leading to a full-blown dictatorship, primarily through a series of presidential signing statements and contorted legal arguments designed to nullify large portions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Bush’s incremental abrogation of the Constitution was not an aberration — it was part of an orchestrated plan to decimate the rights of the American people and erect the foundation for a dictatorship that will come under the make-believe rule of Barack Obama, who is indeed a front man, although Weiner disputes this in order to portray Obama as Hitler-like.

Michael Weiner is a skilled disinformation operative. It is his task to demonize the Obama administration as a crypto-Marxist revolutionary force (Marxism and Nazism are interchangeable for Weiner) that has captured the government and will usher in a brutal dictatorship. In doing so, Weiner steers his listeners away from the real source of power at the helm of government — the international banking elite and their servants in the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberg Group. Weiner’s task is to deflect blame for this coming dictatorship on the left side of the counterfeit right-left political spectrum.

In his diatribe, Weiner does not name the “subversive elements” to be blamed for the false flag operation he predicts (actually he has hijacked this prediction from Alex Jones and others). It will not be the Democrats, Republicans or Rush Limbaugh (mentioned as a thorn in Obama’s side) who will feel the blunt force blow delivered in response to this “Reichstag fire-like event” — it will be those standing in opposition to the real tyrants on Wall Street and the European centers of banking. The FEMA camps are not for the likes of Michael “Savage” Weiner and his bamboozled listeners because they do not pose a threat to the establishment.

lex Jones, for those who don’t know, is the self-described “tip of the spear” in the Infowar. Jones is a nationally-syndicated radio host with a daily listening audience in the hundreds of thousands and he has directed and produced over 20 documentary films. The most recent film, The Obama Deception, could in time be remembered as one of the most important films in our history. The movie is indicative of being rush-released, which it clearly was. Timing is everything. Mr Jones knew what he was doing in getting this film out to the masses fast and I would venture is evidence of its critical timeliness at this moment in history. Never have so many people been so tantalizingly close to waking up their fellow man to the realities of the world we live in. This film may be the one to finally do that.

Obama Deception

Barack Obama, despite what the Madison Avenue spin doctors try to tell/sell us, is not the ONE. I think Alex Jones and his film The Obama Deception might just be the ONE. The title of this film is slightly misleading because it is not a film about Obama per se, his questionable character, or even the legitimacy of his presidency in light of the questions surrounding the true origin of his birth. It does cover some of his campaign messages/promises and his subsequent reversals upon assuming office. Notably he has shirked on his commitment to withdrawal the troops from Iraq and also not to appoint lobbyists to his cabinet.

Though Obama gets top billing in this movie the film isn’t that much about our spruce pack-a-day new Prez. What it breaks down is the false left-right paradigm, the military industrial owned and therefore controlled mainstream media and the unholy alliance between the Federal Government and the private offshore banking cartel that is the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve is the crack dealing money machine to the Federal Government which has been an addict of fiat money since 1913 when Woodrow Wilson sold our country out to the Wall Street den of vipers and thieves. This is the film that will finally get people to understand that there is a shadow government behind the puppet government. It is run by the Rothschild-Rockefeller-British &amp Dutch Royal Family and assorted Bilderberg cohorts. This is the Anglo-American Empire exposed and Jones does better in exposing the great lie in The Obama Deception than any other film on the subject to date, even his own earlier films.

Some highlights of the 2 hour film are commentary by the extremely balanced and knowledgeable historian Webster G. Tarpley, who is the epitome of calm in a crisis as well as Gerald Celente, top future trends forecaster who long ago saw the onset of Depression 2009 like a dim light down a subway tunnel. The best line in this movie goes to seminal hip-hopper Professor Griff of Public Enemy who asks, “where did we get this sense that just because we have a black man as President everything is going to be OK…everything is NOT going to be OK.”

Another great quote from Gerald Celente speaking of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner – “he was the former President of the NY Federal Reserve and now he’s our Treasury Secretary?” It is truly an absurd appointment - the former NY head of the banker to the government is now running the Treasury!?! But this should come as no surprise for every single Obama appointment is an avowed enemy of the Republic and Jones lists their credentials:

LURGAN, Northern Ireland – Irish nationalist gangs hurled gasoline bombs at police Saturday after three alleged IRA dissidents were arrested on suspicion of killing two British soldiers in an attack designed to trigger wider violence in Northern Ireland.

Police operating in armored cars and flame-retardant suits said none of their officers was injured during the rising mob violence in the Irish Catholic end of Lurgan, a religiously divided town southwest of Belfast. Rioters also blocked the main Belfast-to-Dublin railway line that runs alongside the hardline Kilwilkie neighborhood of the town.

Later, police said they arrested a 37-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, and seized a gun and ammunition in the neighboring town of Craigavon, where Irish Republican Army dissidents shot to death a policeman Monday.

Police would not say whether those arrests and the arms find were connected to the March 7 shooting of the soldiers or the subsequent killing of the policeman. Police said the couple were being questioned about unspecified &quotserious terrorist crime.&quot

The unrest came in direct response to Saturday’s arrest of Colin Duffy, 41, the best-known Irish republican in Lurgan. Police arrested two other suspected Irish Republican Army dissidents aged 32 and 21 in the overwhelmingly Catholic village of Bellaghy — all on suspicion of shooting to death two soldiers last weekend.

Revelations that a political assassination unit which reported solely to Dick Cheney was in operation during the Bush administration are absent the fact that the unit in question, the Joint Special Operations Command, has been active for decades, has been deployed domestically in the U.S., has killed U.S. citizens, and is an integral part of Barack Obama’s expanded wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Seymour Hersh dropped a bombshell when he told a University of Minnesota audience on Tuesday that the Joint Special Operations Command is, “An executive assassination ring essentially, and it’s been going on and on and on,” Hersh stated. “Under President Bush’s authority, they’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving. That’s been going on, in the name of all of us.”

Subsequent media coverage of Hersh’s comments, such as a special feature on last night’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann, has framed the story in the inaccurate context that the JSOC was a personal hit team acting on behalf of Cheney alone, when in reality the unit was created in 1980 and continues to play a central role in Barack Obama’s continuation of the so-called war on terror.

As we learn from the Global Security website, the Joint Special Operations Command in fact comprises mostly of Delta Force soldiers and SEALs. The unit was established in 1980 and is located at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina and at nearby Fort Bragg.

The assassination unit was not a creation of the Bush administration or Dick Cheney, it has in fact been “involved in a number of covert military operations over the last two decades,” including the covert U.S. invasions of Panama and Granada, as well as search and rescue missions in Somalia, and searching for alleged war criminals in Yugoslavia.

Notably, the unit also routinely “provides support to domestic law enforcement agencies” during high profile events such as the Olympics, the World Cup, political party conventions and Presidential inaugurations, including the 2005 inauguration of George W. Bush, at which a small group of commandoes were “deployed under a secret counterterrorism program named Power Geyser”.

It was also reported that Delta Force were involved in the largest ever single act of slaughter of civilians by law enforcement in US history - the 1993 siege on the Branch Davidian compound at Waco.

In 1999, Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair revealed that Delta Force units based out of Fort Bragg had been enlisted as part of the assault team on the Branch Davidian Compound. 76 people died in the siege, including 21 children and two pregnant women.

Alex Jones has gone up against Delta Force on numerous occasions while reporting on urban warfare training drills around the country. Delta Force conducted mock raids, dropping bombs in San Antonio, Kingsville, Alice, and Corpus Christie amongst other Texas towns. In many cases, the local authorities were not even warned before Delta Force invaded, and in one case, they even tried to pay off a police chief in San Antonio before he kicked them out.

According to Global Security, Bill Clinton’s 1994 Presidential Decision Directive 25 “exempt(s) the Joint Special Operations Command from the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 18USC Sec.1385, PL86-70, Sec. 17[d]. which makes it illegal for military and law enforcement to exercise jointly.”

The Joint Special Operations Command is a sub-unit of the United States Special Operations Command, which is described at the “Department of Defense’s front man in the global war on terrorism”. A New York Times article from last year reported that the Joint Special Operations Command were conducting ground raids in Pakistan supposedly aimed at hunting “Al-Qaeda members”. Such raids have only increased since Obama came to power.

Once again, the corporate media has completely fudged the most prescient issue arising out of Hersh’s revelation, which is the fact that the Joint Special Operations Command (mainly comprising of Delta Force) was not merely the brainchild or personal political assassination wing for Dick Cheney, but it has been in operation for decades, including inside the United States, has been involved in the murder of U.S. citizens, and is an integral part of Barack Obama’s expansion of the so-called war on terror.

By failing to reverse Bill Clinton’s PDD25 and not abolishing the Joint Special Operations Command, Barack Obama is in violation of Gerald R. Ford’s Executive Order 11905, which states, “No employee of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, political assassination.”

Dick Cheney is also in violation of this executive order, but with the Obama administration signaling that they will not pursue any members of the Bush administration for war crimes, the Republicans and the Democrats are once again running defense for each other as more illegal acts are committed.

The Obama administration said Friday that it would abandon the Bush administration’s term “enemy combatant” as it argues in court for the continued detention of prisoners at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, in a move that seemed intended to symbolically separate the new administration from Bush detention policies.

But in a much anticipated court filing, the Justice Department argued that the president has the authority to detain terrorism suspects there without criminal charges, much as the Bush administration had asserted. It provided a broad definition of those who can be held, which was not significantly different from the one used by the Bush administration.

The filing signaled that, as long as Guantánamo remains open, the new administration will aggressively defend its ability to hold some detainees there.

“The president has the authority to detain persons” who planned or aided the 2001 terrorist attacks as well as those “who were part of, or substantially supported, Taliban or Al Qaeda forces,” administration lawyers wrote.

The Obama administration said it was relying on existing principles of the international law of war. A public statement indicated that the government was moving away from claims of expansive executive power often used by the Bush administration to justify Guantánamo.
