‘N Korea Fires More Missiles After Nuke Test’

North Korea has reportedly fired two short-range missiles off its east coast - defiant in the face of international condemnation of its latest nuclear test.

Kim Jong Il’s rogue state launched one surface-to-air and one ground-to-ship missile, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency quoted a government source as saying.

It followed the North saying it had successfully detonated an atomic bomb - the second time in its history. It also launched three short-range missiles.

The nuclear test on Monday prompted unanimous condemnation from the UN Security Council.

US President Barack Obama called Pyongyang’s atomic arms programme a threat to international security.
